After killing the wizard and droping the orb into the pit, i never jumped into the pit.. to finish the game you must go aaaaaaaaaaaaaall the way back to the beginning to the first screen.. then you finish the game.

EDIT: I just finished the game and i jumped to the pit.. that's the unofficial way to finish the game.. as you completed 100% of the game... but the real ending is when you go back to the first screen =P take it as alternative endings:
Good Ending: You killed the mad wizard and saved your tribe.
Bad Ending: After you killed the wizard you became possesed by an evil force wich makes you jump down to the bottomless pit.
