I don't know if I caught this thread somewhere in the wrong time - but to get the AWESOME Amiga intro MOD for the game you don't need to go re-inventing the wheel!

You see, Exotica archive, archive's the game info, and especially the game music - which is effectively great.

So for Hero Quest you just have to go here:
http://www.exotica.org.uk/wiki/Hero_Quest

And download the .lha archive (LHA is just like your average ZIP, 7Z, or RAR). To extract the MODS you'll need an archiver that supports LHA - which 7ZIP conveniently (it's free) does.

Now you'll have your Hero_Quest folder with two MOD files, but how do you play them?

Well - you'll want to use a MOD player - and I really don't recommend plugins for the major players - use a good standalone such as Deliplayer (no longer supported but still works - check:
http://matthew-4gl.wikispaces.com/deliplayer

Or even better is downloading Xmplay from:
http://www.un4seen.com/

The Delix plugin ("...This plugin allows XMPlay to open and play various exotic audio files originating from the Amiga computer.") for Xmplay is useful for some less common MOD formats and you can grab it here (not necessarily needed for these MODS):

Hope to have been of help.

Oh and by the way the music was composed by Barry Leitch - who said "The in game music was a bitch to write as we only had 30k and they wanted as long as they could get...."
