You don't need DOSBox to run the game in XP. There is even sound. Just run "blood.exe".
DOSBox is too slow to run Blood.

not everyone has the same hardware as you. especially soundcard and drivers.
also your method only lets you use the default resolution

True. I have a Sound Blaster PCI64, thats probably why it works.
