So if you're a communist leader, you'd better make darn sure all of your people are 100% committed to communism. How do you do that? Well, you root out the closet capitalists and either have them killed or ship them off to the gulags. Oh, joy! It's best to do this in a high-profile manner, so that any potential dissidents will have no doubts about what becomes of Enemies of the State.
