Let me get this straight. Are you trying to run the game by running dos4gw? If so, don't. There are several exe, com and bat files there if I recall correctly. One is UFO, another is GO (I think). Try one of those and see if you're in better luck.
If you have tried one of those and the dos4gw still crashes the game, please post any error messages.
