when you edit it (properties), there is a full description of how does it work. i don't have win 98 installed anywhere right now, so i can't tell

hope that helps

I made it work! There really is a .pif file called "ms-dos games with support of EMS and XMS memory.pif", it was in the windows directory, so here is my newbie procedure:
i ran that file, and from this DOS mode i could only acess the files in the C:\Windows directory, and i dont know how to come back to C:\ (i mean, i dont know how to go to C:\ from C:\windows, or from C:\games\darklands
to C:\games), so i ctrl+c ctrl+v my darklands directory to C:\windows\games, and ran the game file. And it worked.

thanks everyone
