At least the German cities are a mess as well. At first glance only cities I never heard of, the big cities i was looking for (Hamburg) missing...
I think it is way too ambitious to make the city a dropdown. Make it freetext - what are you using it for anyway? Why is it mandatory? I find it (just so) acceptable to make the country mandatory, but the city??
