Remember seeing the Princess talking to a mouse, well it'll come to your aid by pushing the pressure plate on the platform from where you had jumped to enter the door where you are now stranded, then soon as the door opens climb down (you may also jump if you have enough lives) then hurry back West and you will get to the next level.
