Heh AC/DC and Motorhead and especially Ramones are certainly not rock n' roll, r'n'r is the music from the 50's like Little Richard, Bill Haley and Chuch Berry, the guys that started it all...
Then it evolved into rock (without the roll :P) and it's many subgenres...

Well, I agree that it started in the 50's. Buddy Holly (

), Little Richards and Chuck Berry, to name a few were at the frontier, but to say that AC/DC isn't Rock'n'Roll is... strange. They (the old stuff, mind) base their music on the 50's and 60's rock'n'roll and r'n'b. I've even read that sometimes AC/DC is referred to as a rhythm and blues band! Pretty much the same goes for the Ramones. In fact, it was the desire to be able to listen to just that music that made them form the band in the first place

Ok, so they turned "punk" later, but mostly punk is just a label that says nothing about the music itself. The Ramones never concidered themself a punk band. Just a r'n'r band.
