Well, I usually go the Micro$oft route when thinking of things like that... Which mean, they probably made it because it was cheap and easy to do, and they expect you to change it (for a fee).

Edit: while I was moving my old reviews from Favorite Oldies and Newbies, I realised that either there is some threads missing or they got deleted somehow. I can't find my old thread about Freedom Force. Did we lose some threads in the move?
