same here(no download manager programs running etc) - just seems to have been a problem today, a few days ago when i downloaded Realms of arkania it was fine.
i get this error message at the top of the screen, with the red icon link to 'download now/get it now' as usual, but nothing happens after that.
error msg:

its the same for firefox and explorer.
Posting and going through all the other links seems fine though.
