As for blending with Paint...

1. You need a lot of patience (cause it's going to take time)
2. You need to zoom in 6x (so that you can still make out the picture, and see which pixels to remove)
3. Then you start removing a frame around the target one pixel at the time.
4. Now that you have the frame you can cut out the image you want and then remove the little that still remains outside the frame.
5. Cut out the picture again (remember to use the background colour as your "right mouse-button" colour)
6. Click on the bottom button in the left menu (where you have all the tools, like pencil, filler and so on) This will make the areas of your picture matching your right mousebutton colour transparent.
7. Move the picture to its new home, and you will have a perfect match.

So... in conlclusion... if you have PS, use it
