Ok, as I always understand the thing about emulator "ROMS", they are NOT abandonware. You MAY download them and play them for 24 hours, but U have to delete them afterwards IF YOU DON'T OWN THE ACTUAL CARTRIGDE. So if you leave them on your HD, CD, whatever, and don't own the original game, and someone finds out........bad news for your future plans.

Emulators+ ROMS were intended to work as "Backups", as you obviously couldn't backup, say, an SNES cartridge.

This of course is only true with the still licensed consoles (NES, SNES, PC-ENGINE, GAMEBOY, and of course, the PSX, ...)

With Amiga and other early home-computers (C64) they are mostly real abandonware...

but again, the necessary <system romfiles> to use these emulators are NOT.

maybe off-topic, but I noticed several requests and felt not many ppl knew about this.

plz correct me if I'm out-of-date.

I used Emulators a lot, but I also owned the actual consoles and games, too, so I'm on the safe side. (keeping my smashed SNES just for the legal issue)

All abandonia admins: plz delete this spammy post (or tell me to) in case you already have such a warning or I overshot. thx and sorry
