Does anyone know of any good freeware RPG's.

I want to find some and review them for my freeware site at www.freegamesweb.co.uk (shameless advertising!) but they have to be freeware - i.e non-commercial, not shareware or abandonware or any other type of "free" software - and I'm having real trouble finding any.

Also looking for sports games if anyone knows any.

Again, they have to be freeware cause it's a freeware community.

I think abandonware is freeware, so go to http://www.abandonia.com/en and choose games you want to download (they are all abandonware)! :ok:

Some is, some isn't but that isn't really the point.

I love abandonware but I also love abandonia and couldn't (and wouldn't want to) compete so there would be no point in me filling my site with abandonware.

This site is for games that are actually classifed as freeware.

On this site are a huge bunch of games that have been made mostly by amateurs just for the love of it, but some are very well done and great fun to play. They're free to download, so I hope they fit your criteria.

Edit:
These aren't all adventure games. They have a section for non-adventures, and I noticed some sport titles there, such as FIFA International Football 2004.

Well, if you're going for AGS, I might as well put a link to AGI Studio and its fanmade games up :bleh:
Click on Games

What kind of RPG are you looking for? The first that comes to my mind is http://www.nethack.org

Cheers Guys/

I'd heard of AGS (in fact I have the latest version though I'm really bad with it!) though I'd never noticed how many games were on the site.

I'd never heard of AGI so I'm looking forward to playing some of them when I get home from work but not as much as I'm looking forward to Nethack!

Thanks All!

If anyone here has made a game that they think might be good on my site send me an email. I can't make any promises but I'll be happy to look at anything you've done and see whether it fits on!

Almost forgot, I'm subscribed to a newsletter that sends out the link to a free game every month or so. The website address is: http://compactiongames.about.com/

And one thing about nethack:

I don't know what is your experience in roleplaying games but games like NetHack might be very frustrating for beginners due difficulty and controls (that are actually after all quite simple). It takes a time to learn it but once you learn it, you will spend moment or too with it. :)

Happy hacking!
