In Germany, this game was called "Bundesliga Manager Hattrick" and it was somewhat a direct successor to "Bundesliga Manager Professional".

why is this game double zipped? a zip file in a zip doesn't make any sense.

I found the same virus from go.exe VGEN/26437.0

my virus scan finds Mirc and recognises it as a virus.

It seems it does not work on Win XP....when I try to open the game, the window is shut down after the presentation of Ocean logo.
Does anyone have the same problem?

to sine: try with dosbox. drag the fltd file into the dosbox exe file and play!

It doesn't work for me. I hit the program 'GO' and the screen showed what appeared to look like the copyrights list they show before a game starts up. I hit enter to skip it and then it shows the Ocean logo with a dolphin swimming past it, after that, unless I skip it, the computer goes back to the main screen.

I haven't downloaded anything from the website (such as DOSbox, etc). Am I missing something, or am I doing something wrong?

I'm having the same problem as SineNomine, in other words.

I run it on a Dos-machine I set up for those kind of games, so I guess DosBox would help indeed. I know that in Win 98 for example there were several times in the game when the game crashed.
You better run most of the game you get here in DosBox. :ok:

I think you are talking about Bundesliga manager, and not about the Football limited, but in the case about the two games, they need dos-box.... :whistle:

S'cuse me, but anybody got a manual for all those switches in the "options" menu? I'd like to "pimp my game"... ^_^

hey everyone... I'd just like to ask for a manual or a guide or something, 'cause there's a lot of stuff in the game I don't understand... I mean, I don't know what it does, and the settings is just one of those things... the description in german would be okay, by the way... ;)

other than that, I must say the game is pretty addictive, but i feel there's something missing... I don't know, maybe it's because i don't know how to do it but I feel the game lacks some interaction with the players and such... I still don't know if it's possible to simply fire a player... but anyway, i loved this game.


by the way, at a certain point in the game i stop seeing the animations during the games... well, it basically skips the game itself! anyone knows the problem?

What do I need to do now after unzipping all files? I can't find the program.

You need to run the game.

Well, duh. That's obvious.

I've followed the DOSbox instructions and I am up to the point in the tutorial where I am asked to type 'install' upon failing that I type in 'setup' but I still don't know what to do find 'configurations'.

Try entering the following commands in the game directory:
Dir *.exe
Dir *.bat
Dir *.com
And running the filenames they return.

Does seomeone know how to use the mouse ?
i can move it while playing but i cannot press
i'm blocked at the beginning of the game because i can only move my mouse and nothing else

Yes I would love a manual.. And a explanation of what are the letters at the top in the first screen shot (the L,R,D,A,C,S,Fo, etc.) Because I want to know my players' energy levels and make sure I don't play them too much. And I can't even find that.

Buying players / Entice Away
 

How do you buy players that are not listed for a transfer by another club?

On my old 386 - it was a matter of going to a player's screen and clicking to a certain spot. I believe it was a right-click. But it was like 16-17 years ago, and I can't remember.

Also, I'm playing it in DosBox, so the right-click is mostly "Back" button.

What can I do? My squad is the oldest in PL, and I have some 20M to spend, but I need to buy players that are not listed.

Please help!

How to transfer almost any player in Football Limited
 

I've forgot and remembered how to do this several times)))).

So here is a recipe - go to Transfer window, press button "Entice away", then find interesting team, list all the players, and do a LONG click (press and hold for 2 secs) with your left mouse button. If a club doesn't want to release a player - the game says you, that "The club need this player URGENTLY!", and you couldn't buy him, but if a player is not in the first team plans - it will bring you a standart contract offer window, where you can offer a transfer fee and contract to the player.

You can do a maximum of 5 entices per season! Good luck!

P.S. BTW, it's still hard to buy a goalkeeper in first 2 years of game))

P.P.S. But you don't need a GK player to put in goals, you can put there a 90+ striker or midfielder) and have your goals locked pretty nice 8-)
