The Fifth Horseman | If nothing has changed recently, it should still be downloadable from Abandonia. | |

you might be encountering a problem x-com has with newer graphics cards... here's a patch... it sometimes works, sometimes it doesn't... Patch here speaking of the dos version... does anyone know where I can GET the dos version to run in dosbox? All I can find is the collector's edition. |

Click on your mouse and/or hit a key to see if you can bypass the intro movie. Also, sometimes old games took a little while to get to the first screen, make sure you up the cycles if you use DOSBox. I'm also pretty sure there is a command line you can use to bypass the movie, but I'd have to dig that up because I don't remember it by heart... |

Disable DirectX graphics acceleration, as well as any scaling options in your graphics card control panel. If that doesn't work, your only other option is to run the DOS version in DOSBox. |

Hi, I am having problems with X-COM 1. Whenever I start it, the music plays, but nothing shows up, it's just a black screen. I tried everything, from restarting my computer, to updating my graphics card driver, but nothing seemed to work. Can someone help me? |
