Guest121 Maybe it's just my imagination, but in this version, Spot seems to gain momentum much faster than in either of the console versions, which makes the gameplay a lot smoother, in my opinion. The sound is crappier, though, and the graphics seem to be identical to the Genesis version.

It's a decent platformer either way.

BranjoHello Pretty COOL game!
I would give it 3.5, it doesn't have many enemies and that lowered the mark, I always loved Spot, one of COOLEST video game characters! :amused:
Sega Mega Drive II version is better than the DOS one!

Icewolf Do we have the Cool Spot title theme? When Cool Spot rides the 7UP bottle. That was a kinda cool surfing tune.... De-de-de-dedede-dede.... :brain:

Just thought I'd mention this in case anyone was confused: you don't need the manual, just type any letters and hit enter.

Icewolf The game-file will be an executable file, so an .exe, .bat or .com-file.
I remember playing Coolspot in the old days on my DOS-machine and if I remember correctly the executable is coolspot.exe (it's eight characters plus extension so it could be right).

When you are in Windows you can use the view 'deatiled' and group the files by file type. It's easier to look up the correct file then.

Have fun! k:

Guest good game but Cool Spot 2 (spot goes to hollywood) is much better. It uses isometric graphics and looks like 3D.

www.replacementdocs.com is a good place to find game manuals, all of the files are in .pdf format (Which is Adobe Acrobat Reader). Unfortunatly there is no manual for Cool Spot on there.
If there was, we would've linked to it. We're affiliated with them, you know
