captain38 I actually did have to run install.exe first, and then run sc2000.exe in order for mine to work correctly. If I only ran sc2000.exe (which I did many times) the screen just displayed a bunch of mumbo jumbo. Try install.exe and then sc2000.exe afterwards.

The Fifth Horseman More likely that you're not using DOSBox.

djfr33 hey thanks...i did what you said and there is a slow mouse, just one last question how do I get the soud to work?

Eagle of Fire You do not need to install it, it is already fully installed in the archive.

Second to that, you need to run SC2000.EXE and not SC2000.pif. Why there is a .pif file is way beyond me since those files works only for individual Windows machine and will never work unless you happen to unzip the game at the same directory it been created on the other machine.

I used VDMSound to make it work and I had no problems other than a slow mouse. DOSBox would probably solve that.

djfr33 I recently downloaded SimCity 2000 but when I clicked the Install.exe file to install it an erromesage poped up saying "Invalid startup direcotry, Please check your pif file. Can someone tell me how to fix this or what to do?
