It's not very good idea to start DOS games under Windows. It can work occasionally, but most often it will fail. For that cases there is DOSBox around that is near perfect DOS emulator. Instructions for work are here. And if you'll wander around "Troubleshooting" section, you'll find more instructions too.

SOS Dune 2 ... Hello All, I have deleted my previous message if anyone saw it.. i found how to unzip the game and got it working (Dune 2) however the background music is not working..any ideas anyone? i am running windows xp. Also i might give the mod game a go. Just joined today i love this site cant wait to download more classics. Any ideas appreciated. Many thanks Stu |
