Luchsen Apart from being sure because of the nature of these files, the game archive wasn't touched since 21-12-2004.

Use DOSBox instead of VDMSound.

I'm pretty sure there were no such files in it either.

Celtic Tales sound troubles again

Hi !

I've been looking throught all the topics about that game, i've found similar problems but can't seem to find answers...
I had run that game about a year ago with no problem at all, now that i've downloaded it again, it doesn't run properly, my friend too had troubles with a different cpu (i'm on vista & he's with xp)

he has the screen full of XXXXX for the sound settings so i've installed him the vdm sound, the game runs with no sound at full speed (can't even read the informations!) and the mouse is sometimes invisible.

when i've done the sound settings, it says "Please made sure that your AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files include the necessary lines to activate your sound board." the fact is that there's no such files in the ZIP we've downloaded, and i do think it was there the first time i've downloaded it.
and when i try to run the game, nothing happens at all.

could someone help us please ?

thanks a lot !
