K-Lite Codec Pack + Media Player Classic should play most movies. You can also try using VirtualDub to convert the video to a different format. |

Japo | Yes the movies created with DOSBox need a video codec included with DOSBox itself, the problem is... My instalation link in Start > DOSBox-0.65 > Video reads, "Install movie codec (WinXP and Win2000 Only)." So if you use Win98 you might actually be stuck.

Vendermarch | Well DOSBox 0.65 actually should have that codec bundled. It can be installed from DOSBox start menu group. (Video subfolder)

No gpood, it tells me "The codec you are missing is not available for download from this site. You might be able to find it on another site by searching the Web for "{E436EB79-524F-11CE-9F53-0020AF0BA770}" (this is the WaveFormat or FourCC identifier of the codec). " so i of course did that and got nothing that helped me. |

Eagle of Fire | You should see an exclamation mark (!) next to the name in the menu to the right. Click on it, and with a little luck you'll be able to find the name of the codec. With this information you can then proceed to find and download the codec from the Internet.
