Nukem Brutal Remix is made in MUGEN, an engine to make your custom fighting game. Brutal Remix was made in a DOS version of this software, but there's already a WIN version of it. In Win 9x alone it is quite a demanding program, and DOSBOX certainly kills it.

Try downloading the WIN version and replacing these files:

>MUGEN.exe (or whatever EXE is in the main dir) for Winmugen.exe)

>In the DATA directory, replace mugen.cfg, common1.cns for the winmugen one

Be careful, this may make the game work, but it can mess up with the characters and stages (graphically, or even in gameplay).

Or you could directly ask in MUGEN forums:

forum.mgbr.net

www.streetmugen.com

www.mugenguild.com

Winmugen can be downloaded at this site: http://unofficial-winmugen.jpn.org/

I never tried to run MUGEN with VDMS, but give it a shot!

Swiifty Greetings, I have a problem concerning Brutal: Remix. You see everytime I start it through DosBox it works "fine" the loading time is quite big but I eventually end up at the main window. However when I finally get there things are really slow, and I mean really slow, now you surely think well doh, increase the frame limit and the other stuff. My response is, I have. Sure it goes a little faster but still when I go to training or any other place it gets all, how do you say blurry. When I go between different characters the one I chosed before stays so they like collide with each other, making the game freeze.

A lil info about my computer:

1 Ghz
256 memory
Geforce 4
Windows XP

I would appreciate all information given to me. Thanks in Advance
