Bobbin Threadbare What did you mount C:\ or C:\DOMAIN? What drive did you mount it as? I bet it's a simple solution like that.

pffff try d-fend in combination with dosbox, it's much more simple for use

blastradius14 Make sure if you are trying to install the game that you install it, then play it with Dos-box. Windows hates dos-games and will not run them.

Perhaps you would take an interest in D-fend? It seemed to make my life easier if I wanted to run the game from a shortcut on the desktop.

Rogue Do you own CD or floppie or you have zip with the game files?

Error that you have showed when you try to install the game? (I mean during installation proces)

Can you make a screen shot of installer (Ctrl + F5 in DOSBox) and post it here?

Xerticle Dos is on my C drive, Dos box is installed on that. all of the subdirectories the tutorial told me to create have been created.

after deleting the CLS command, Dos box showed me this:
----------------------------------------------------------
Z:\>SET BLASTER=A220 I7 D1 H5 T6

Z:\>SET ULTRASND=240,3,3,5,5

Z:\>SET ULTRADIR=C:\ULTRASND

Z:\>Mount C C:\DOS\CDrive
Drive C is mounted as local directory C:\DOS\CDrive\

Z:\>Mount D D:\ -t cdrom
MSCDEX installed.
Drive D is mounted as CDRom

Z:\>C:

C:\>_
-----------------------------------------------------------

Ultimate domain, also called genesia, is a great strategy game and is reviewed on this site

Rogue Do you have DOS or DOSBox folder on your C drive in XP?

Delete CLS command and tell us what message you get on the screen when you boot DOSBox.

I don't know what game you are talking about. I will have to check in Mobygames.

Xerticle [autoexec]
# Lines in this section will be run at startup.
Mount C C:\DOS\CDrive
Mount D D:\ -t cdrom
C:
CLS
--------------------------------------
and i followed every single procedure to the letter in making the correct directories. also, when i tried installing ultimate domain b4 dosbox, it said i could go on with the installilation w/o the EMS memory and fix it later, but i got the same error saying "That is not a valid hard disk drive. Please choose another hard disk drive and path."

i really want to fool around with this great game, ive had so many memories with this game during my early childhood. i have Win Xp home edition with SP2, just incase that helps.

Rogue First of all this is in wrong part of the forum, so I believe EOF will move it.

Secondly, can you write your config file and what's your directory structure (C:\DOS, C\DOS\CDrive etc...)
