Rogue DOS in ME, 2K, NT or XP is just an not so complete emulator.

That's why you have to use DOSBox (or some other emulation software) to have complete DOS and be able to play DOS games without any problems.

Danny252 Even XP has a fake Dos on it. Completely useless, IMO.

Guest More than a problem I have a question. My computer comes with a MS-DOS and windows millenium. Can i run the games from the MS-DOS that my computer includes or i have to download DosBox??

Rogue For some games 400 MHz is way to fast. For those files try to google for them.

But still try different sound options when selecting the sound. Some old games even after they recognize hardware as SB compatible, they have problem with it.

my prob is that wings of glory and fugger2 dont work
wings replies an error "#fffe" googled ->nothing
when i run the soundtest of fugger2 it works great but if i start the game it plays the sunflower intro without sound and after that it hangs no error nothing just dont work

Seems to be memory problem. you should try tweaking the memory settings.

It can also be that your PC is too fast for those games. this too will result in crash, although it usually writes the "runtime error".
i dont think 400 mhz is 2 fast

mem prob is better. found out fugger2 runs if i remove emm386.exe from config.sys but if i do so the audigy-sb16 emulator driver dosnt work anymore (needs a memory manager).
does someone have rm386.exe or qemm.386.sys
or know where 2 get
thx

LOBO ok anubis, u can downlad a win98 bootdisk with fat32 support here http://www.abandonia.com/main.php?nav=bootdisk
this disk includes emm386.exe, himem.sys, mouse support.
i made a 1gb fat32 part, all other part of hd are ntfs.
downloaded dos drivers for my audigy1 and for my cdrom-driver and put them in h:\dosdrv (h:->driver letter for the fat32 under win2k)
when i start my pc with the bootdisk h becomes c, because its the only driver the win98-bootdisk can read.
