Scatty Are you playing the game in Windows or DosBox? If it's Windows, you should play the game in DosBox, see the post above yours.

Unsure how to get it working

Hey everyone, I've just downloaded the Magic Pocket game from the website,

http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/43...c+Pockets.html

^ Is an image of the files that I see on my screen.

I've taken that screenshot with a windows 7 computer, but the game is to be loaded onto a Windows XP system (I understand it works on XP)

I'm not too sure how to install/get the game going?

If anyone could help me that would be great

Cheers!

So there must be a data sheet or something like that ?

So does anyone have the codesheet that tells us what "m7" (or anyother code for that matter) is? I remember when I had the game on Windows 95, it came with that code sheet, but somehow got lost along the way.

If anyone has it, can you please email me a copy at [EDITED] ? Thanks a million!

Scatty I think you just need to press ENTER and type in nothing, that should pass.

The Fifth Horseman If it works in XP but witout sound, use VDMSound to run it. Simpler to use and consumes less resources.

I was just wondering, cause it claims to be compatible with XP. And finally when I started any *.exe from that package it ran quite well, besides the sound!

So I will try dosbox, though I hoped to keep it simple, cause I don't like reading into things and configure an Emu all night... I would love to have it like on old Amigas or Playstation... just run and play.[/b]
Well it is compatible with XP, after all you can run it in XP after all? But no Dos game would have any sound in Windows XP, that's where DosBox helps out.
DosBox is quite simple too, but if it turns out too difficult to you because of the Ms-Dos similar interface, you can use Frontend which you can download from the same link above (though it is said to cause compatibility problems with some games so watch out)
