Well, the entire Slovenian version of the site was done by Sebatianos and Rainwife, and they're currently only 25 reviews short of the English site. I've got no idea how they managed to do that, though. The mind boggles.
By the way, few of the foreign language versions of the site manage to do daily updates, actually, so if I were you I wouldn't worry about that too much. Not even the Slovenes manage to do daily updates.
Sebatianos is very, very productive. Recently he did like 7 reviews in one day... I don't know about Rainwife, but if she's anything like him I can see how they managed it! By working their behinds off k:

lone lee I'm sure there're plenty of brazillian users, but go find someone who cares even a little bit about the scene. Heh, don't put your hopes up. :not_ok:

edit: daily updates wouldn't be a problem though, I update Abandoneer daily or nearly-daily already. Translating everything alone is still obviously impossible

Shrek i thought about that about 8/9 months ago, when i joined as member, but then i reallized i couldn' t do it.... to do it proprely, it requires "daily updates". it is not the work for one member alone, it would require a team. and even right now, i don' t think there are enough "portuguese" members or guests that could justify a translation to portuguese.

lone lee Sounds like a lot of work, translating all reviews. But the bad part is finding suitable people... I'll try to do that offline I think.

Translating the reviews is a lt of work, so one thing which you might do first would be to try and find as many speakers of Portuguese - or Brazilian Portuguese if you want to be that particular - as possible by creating a sort of "We want YOU" thread. Obviously it's going to be easier if there's more than just the two of you. That's what the Dutch translators did, and they did an amazing job (if I remember correctly they managed to pull it off within a few months - very impressive). You should also try and come up with a plan for translations: make a list of who's going to do which translation, so you don't end up translating the same review twice. Once that's done, just start translating.
