Scatty If you're running it on a notebook, most notebooks have a setting in BIOS to enable hardware stretching of a lower resolution than the native one. If your BIOS supports it you might need to enable it.

Japo Is that (1280x1024) the resolution you use in Windows? Try another one that your hardware supports (see what ones you can choose in the desktop properties) but has a wider aspect ratio, like 1280x960 or whatever.

Sorry, had entered in the wrong value there. Fixed it ("scaler=normal3x"), but the problem remains...

Dosbox help

Been messing around with the config file trying to get true fullscreen, but for some reason I keep getting these black bars on top and bottom for any game I play. My settings are as follows:

fullscreen=true
fulldouble=false
fullresolution=1280x1024
windowresolution=1280x1024
output=ddraw
autolock=true
sensitivity=100
waitonerror=true
priority=higher,normal
mapperfile=mapper-0.74.map
usescancodes=true

frameskip=0
aspect=true
scaler=normal13x

Not sure what other settings pertain to the situation at hand, but any help would be greatly appreciated!
