Yaddy1 I'm a mac user...and I know how it worked...I just didn't know that you were supposed to mount the folder containing the game directly.

Eagle of Fire Okay, that's enough discussion and derailing about Mac users guys.

More helping, less chatting please. This is Troubleshooting, not Bla Bla Bla.

You mean, that's somehow different from most Windows users?

and tbh, I have never used the Mac version of Dosbox.
Something about installing it on a Mac makes me feel "dirty" in some respects and just seems plain wrong. Defiling Dosbox and that.

(Besides, Alun's been slipping me back-handers to plug Boxer whenever and wherever I can )

Saccade Dude - try using something other than Dosbox, since you're having problems.
If you checked our programme page, you would see that we have an app for Mac users to be able to play our games.

Unless you used to use Dos, or are very handy with terminal, you won't have much clue of how to work it.

Boxer is probably the best dos games emulator for Pure Mac Users.
I use it exclusively on Mac - Alun has just released a new version that makes it even easier for newbies to get dos games running.

All you need to do is mount the Boxer image, install the app, open it, read the docs, copy the game files into a folder and then drag that folder from wherever into Boxer (You'll see where) and, hey presto, game installed and ready to run.

Simples.

(we could be explaining dosbox til hell freezes over, Dosraider... we're talking Mac user, here sorry I didn't notice earlier, coulda saved you some hassle - I was on holiday)

Without any details how you mount your virtual C:, how you try to launch the game it's impossible to help you.

Did you even take a look how to work with dosbox on a @#@#@# Mac?
Hit the link I gave you, read and apply the instructions for Mac.

[Edit]
Just tested the game from AB, your possibilities:
Unzip all files in a folder, lets say caesar2 and :

Or mount the folder directly as C: and run c2 from the c: prompt
Hit space when asked to run from HD.

Or mount a virtual C: where the folder caesar2 is in it, do a cd caesar2 and c2
Hit space when asked to run from HD.

Both methods works fine.

Maybe you'll want some sound? Run soundset and choose SB for music/digital.
