We use forum search to find topics about that game.
And if we find none at all, or none of them has the answer to the problem, we start a new topic in the Troubleshooting forum - making sure to specify which exact game the problem applies to.

We swear and curse the game. Then we return to this site, read the review, the site faq and the games forum topic.
