You play the mission(s) in the snow landscape (Reykjavik) in the full version too, only you arrive there later and not from the beginning. The shareware version was primarily designed to preview the diversity of the game, hence why you place various missions in it, which you move slower to in full version. Same with the Vietnam missions which you arrive to later, though it's more through progression than any particular unlocking method. You just have to play on and develop enough patience to persist until later, as the game can very often drive you nuts with with it's steep difficulty. |

recently i've played the cd version of this game and the missions are quite different from the shareware versioni used to play as a teen. previously i thought the full version would just add more missions to the shareware version. for example , in the shareware, you start in the snow mission where you have to find some grenades to blow up all the houses to beat the mission. but in the cd version it starts with a very simple kill-everyone vietnam mission. did anyone else here play the shareware and still have a copy of it? btw, i remember it was possible to "unlock" extra missions in the shareware. can't remember how i did it. i think i pressed excape during the helicopter animation on the last shareware mission or something. anyways i can vaguely remember that i unlocked an indoor "eton" mission, and a rather tricky vietnam mission that was full of trap ready to spear or explode your men. |

Yup, it's a bug, however the CD version isn't affected by this issue. I managed to go ahead without problems Haven't finished it yet though, final missions make you crazy |

Thanks Thanks for your answer, zirkoni. At least I know now that it's not a special "fetature" of the game's PC version. |

Anyway, I have finished that mission a few times. There has to be something wrong with your version of the game. I can destroy the turrets with grenades and/or missiles. |

Mission 8 / turrets Hi everyone, it seems enemy turrets can't be destroyed by rocket or grenade fire in this version. I got stuck at mission 8 phase 2 ("In at the deep end") where I fired several rockets and grenades at a turret but it wasn't destroyed. I think this is a bug - or whatever you wanna call it. Anyway I think the game is impossible to finish with this problem. I've seen videos on youtube with other platforms (snes) and they can destroy turrets with a simple grendade/rocket. Did anyone encounter the same problems or am I doing something wrong? /myname |
