BellyRay I remember enjoying this game and the first one Manhunter in New York, even though my brother and I played it on those old clunky disks on an Atari ST (remember that whirring chugging you'd get as the game loaded?). Still fond memories, thanks for the nostalgia. I still think though that the game concept is brilliant. Like Soylent Green and all those apocalyptic movies. Whoever said this game has soul was right. It's something that's sadly lacking in a lot of games nowadays.

Great Story!

The raw graphics and mini games really make this adventure a unique and unforgettable one! This game has a soul ;-)

zorkzero One of my all time nostalgia favourites. So much atmos in this game, despite the cruddy graphics. Sent shivers up my spine seeing it again. Thanks for keeping this uploaded

nyrhinen This game is so similar to Pleurghburg: Dark Ages! If someone has played Pleurghburg before you have noticed that. Maybe Manhunter was a big influence on Pleurghburg, who knows. :-o

Guest Why do the hooded guys look like the Weavers from LOOM (Bobbin Threadbare and all that)?

I don't know, it's just an observation.

Godz Wow I HATED this game as a kid....I could NEVER get out of the sewers, ever, and that blue corpse at the hospital used to scare the crap out of me.....

Guest Actually the Black Cauldron was the first Sierra game that I know of that didn't use the text parser system, unless there's some technicality I'm missing. This game is ok. The arcade sequences are kind of tedious and the sound is the typical horrible PC speaker sound known for AGI games. I think the graphics are actually good for the time. Great premise, nice gore, interesting story, kind of a lame bad guy, and tedious arcade stuff. Worth playing once, but it's not something I'd play over and over like other Sierra games.
