LOL okay, I wasn't really sad, I was just concerned no one mentions it.

I need a suggestion, would it be a good idea to have to arenas to fight in with the Tech Demo?
The plus is two arenas, but the downside is a longer wait for the demo.
P.S. I'm gonna hit the sack now.

The Tech demo is going to have effective multiplayer? Is it TCP/IP or similar routable or is it IPX (non-routable)?

These look perfekt. Why not add some clouds and a moon to the sky? They don't have to move, just for the main view. Some creepyness ya'know. And maybe some blood splattered on the road and on these pillars? :blink:

To plus that, I made these zombies blind, if you make noise they'll go in the direction you are.

I like that screen a lot, but one thing is bugging me. I think that the moon should be a lot bigger. More menacing. Just a thought. It might make things scarier. Another thing might be to add some spooky dead tree silouettes in the background. Mayeb even some fog. But these are just suggestions, you don't have to listen to them. Just a thought is all. :) But I really like how the game looks so far. I think you are doing a great job. I can't wait to play this. :w00t:

Wow! Thats bg rocks! I love the texture you've put on the brick walkway and grass, and how you've managed to splatter blood here and there without ruining the picture. It's really neat. :ok:

For having the zombies fall down I would use Paint's ability to rotate stuff. That is, if you aren't all ready doing so.

Okay, currently, I met a huge roadblock.
It isn't really a problem, I just need to move a few things, change some triggers, and it'll be done.

Well, I said it would.

If everyone had BamWorkshop it wouldn't look so bad. The BAM version of it keeps the color quality. To make the picture sizes smaller, use jpeg instead of bmp, then load it in there. The download link is this:http://www.clandlan.net/download.php?file=fwmirror/bamworkshop2.zip.

The SPC sounds can be converted to midi using this file I found.

Of course, at Nerologic you can get the SNESamp for winamp to play them as you would hear them in your SNES.

Now you can check out a SNES music of choice and convert it to midi.

Oh, you want a second pistol death animation. Ok, how about the bullet goes through the zombies chest and kills it as blood splatters through the gapoing hole and his arm falls off, then he falls apart.

I wanted to take a screenshot of him falling down, put it goes too fast, the best I can do is seconds before he falls.
If you look carefull to the left you can see some of his brain flying, and to his right a chunk of his head is falling.

Whoo!
Right now, you have to press enter to use the gun, control to use the sword.
I'm changing it right now so you have to press number keys.
It'll work this way.

If you press 1 The sword icon will pop out at the side of the screen, to symbolize that you have it equipped, the icon will have a sword and the number you need to press.
Press 2 is the same, except for the gun.

And so on.

I really like the game so far :ok:
Points of attention:
-My character got stuck a couple of times after I jumped a couple of times, and fired a weapon. It got unstuck when I changed weapons.
-The zombies have some difficulties getting out of the crypt.
-If I press jump in mid-air there's still a little cloud of dust :P

And, errr... The zombies are somewhat slow to react to a bullet.

Well, the zombies don't react slowly, it takes the bullet time to travel, I can't change this. (Actually I can, the bullet fires as soon as the anim reaches frame 7, making it frame 1 would make it seem sped up).
For the stuck thing, that's unavoidable, it's a animation overload, just try not to smash buttons.
The zombies aren't having difficulty getting out of the crypt, I have it set up so that they stay in there for awhile, if you shoot your gun or wave your sword it should attract them towards you (or jumping). They'll come out of their own after awhile.


The cloud of "dust" is not dust but steam, he uses propulsion, if you jump in mid air his system can't propel him any higher, so it's a nice effect, that's why every know and then even if he isn't jumping it lets loose some steam.

Then if you walk out they'll come out bunched up.
The good thing is that if you leave them alone they eventually go in random directions so they aren't bunched up.

WARNING: It's possible for the game to overload with zombies if there are too many corpses.

UPDATE: I've taken into consideration what you guys said and problems that arise.
Animations can now be unstuck by pressing the refresh button (Z)
Zombies spawn faster.
Zombes corpses no longer last forever, they decompose after a short while.
Bullets now travel at appropriate speed.
That's all that I have fixed so far.

Unfortunatly you guys aren't getting another ver until alpha, haha.

Oh, yeah, and see what you can do about collisions. They get weird when jumping on that gargoyle sometimes. Also, if you hit gargoyle with your headwhen jumping and you keep shift pressed you don't fall down.

UPDATE: I added a way to get ammo, and it isn't pickups.
It's like a buy interface, up where your ammo and weapons are displayed I've added some more icons, the price of a certain item is shown (in this case pistol clips) as you kill things you get cash, you use this cash to buy more ammo, if you get 25 dollars (the price of a clip of ammo) you can click on the icon and you get two more clips.

Well, it's not bad, but the thing is - I think you would've saved some resources by making the playwindow a little smaller (the walking path isn't that big and the sky fills up 3/4ths of the main window + the character can jump SOOOO high).
Another glitch - the character (when using a sword or pistol) sometimes just shows half of the animation when slicing and shooting.

That about covers it... - EXCELLENT JOB!!!!! :ok:

The red streak is just for fanciness.
Some people mark their shotguns with colors as personalization.

Okay, I figured out how the shotgun works.
I took Fawful's idea, anything in a close range to you when firing the shotgun is wiped out.
