When did you play the game?
- I guess between 1990-2005. I am not sure.

What computer did it run on?
- i386 or i486 PC or some similar build. Also not sure.

What operating system did the computer run?
- Sadly also not sure. Windows 98 or Windows XP or DOS.

What were the graphics like?
- Probably around 256 color. 2D objects, characters with 2D background.
- Can’t recall any videos or cut scenes.

What was the music like?
- I can’t recall.

Were there speech?
- I can’t recall.

What was the gameplay like?
- Single player, Real time, Alien-like monster shooter.

Which perspective were you given there?
- Isometric, Top-down, Third Person.

So it was an isometric top-down third person single player alien-like monster shooter with some sci-fi or industrial setting. I pretty sure it was not a turn based game. I think the camera was centered on the player and moved along with it. I remember I could… I think somehow acquire and equip better equipment and weaponry during the game so maybe has some RPG elements, there were some alien eggs or cocoons too, flamethrower maybe…

I cannot recall any sound, music, speech or video cut scenes. Probably it was just some demo. It is possible even that it was a port from a different platform but I don’t think so. Maybe a flash game… I don’t know. Heck, I can’t even recall the language of the game.

But I know which games it was not.:
It wasn’t Fallout, X-COM, Alien Shooter, Postal, Alien Breed 92

Any clues?

Thank you guys for the help in advance.

Well, you said it's not XCOM but maybe XCOM: Apocalypse (aka XCOM3) (https://www.mobygames.com/game/349/x-com-apocalypse/screenshots/)? It has both turn based and real time modes.

Or maybe Incubation (https://www.mobygames.com/game/796/incubation-time-is-running-out/screenshots/windows/)?

Neither of above, sadly.
It was Isometric 2D. No 3D elements. And it was only one controlled humanoid character. No multiple characters or teams, at least in this demo I played, I guess.

Graphically the most similar games I found are for example Antraxx, Alien Shooter but greyer, less colorful and more claustrophobic. Like Diablo. As I remember had dark/unlit areas until you closed-in, or some FOW.

Ou, and it wasn’t Diablo, Antraxx or Spellcross either.

Also it wasn’t Alien Earth (1998) or Crusader: No Remorse (1995)… but Crusader: No Remorse looks/feels a little similar to it… but with monsters… and different play style/control.

I FOUND IT!

It is the Cybermercs: The Soldiers of the 22nd Century (1998)
A sci-fi Diablo clone, a pretty underrated one as I see.

Sadly, it seems to be an abandonware.

Anyway, thanks for the help.
