I definitely played this game before 1994.
I played it on a Tandy computer, but the game could have also been for ibm pc.
It ran in DOS.
At best it used a 16 color ega. Maybe that was our computers limitation though?
I don't remember any music or sound for the game.
As I mentioned, it was sidescrolling.
The objective was to keep living. At the start you picked an herbivore, carnivore, or omnivore. You had an energy bar that depleted as time went by, and you had to eat(plants or animals depending on initial choice) to regain the energy or else you died. Other dinosaurs could kill you, too. At the end you could print out your score.
That's all I can remember, I was very young when I played the game.
I would be thrilled to see the game again, even if I find out the gameplay is awful.
Thanks.
PS. I just took a look at dinosaur predators, but it doesn't look quite the same from what I remember... The energy bar I remember starts out full, and shrinks toward its center. Also, I don't recall any grid, it was a simple left or right sidescroll.
