[Amayirot Akago] Cold Blooded

I am looking for a game I had on a PC PowerPlay/PC User or similar magazine demo disc from the 90’s. It wasn’t a playable demo, but a short advertisement video to promote the game. The main character was blue/purple I think with a helmet and I’m almost certain the end punch line was “cold blooded”. I have searched and found that a game called Cold Blooded exists, but it isn’t that. I also think the main character narrating it was smoking.

The game was available or advertised in the 90’s. From previous investigations of similar games I had on these dics, it was around 1994.

PC specs: around Pentuim 1,2,3 era.
OS: Windows 95, Windows 98, DOS
Graphics: colour cartoon videos then the gameplay was top down shooter from what I can remember.
Music: CD type audio
Speech: In videos yes, gameplay, not sure.
Game perspective: Top down

Reminds me of the Crusader: No remorse serie of games. But that's a longshot with your description.

Good suggestion! I looked at screen shots and videos, doesn't look like it. Crusader is isometric grpahics where I think the one I am looking for is directly top down.

This could have easily been the one, I can't find any video intro like the one that I saw though. And the promo video that I saw was too good to not be animation clips from the game. I like the look of Operation Carnage though.

The animation you remember, was it hand-drawn like early animated movies/TV/etc, or was it computer-generated ("3D") like was just starting to become popular at that time?

Wow, very nicely remembered.
There seems to be word of a leaked alpha version (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?21834-Jetpack-and-Cold-Blooded). Considering how little is shown in that video I linked, it's possible ckeech is remembering a more thorough video preview of the game. It looks like the real story of what happened with this game is yet to be told. I'll try and keep an eye out for anything more on it.

Amazing!!!! That's it! I can't believe you got it from my description. Thank you so much! It explains why I was so sure that the name was "Cold Blooded" but I gave up looking for it when I couldn't find it under that name.

I'm so keen to see the Alpha leak if anyone knows where to get it. Thanks so much for all your help.:D
