Settlers2 problem

Ok, when I double click on S2.exe to launch the program, I get an error message....
"16 bit MSDOS subsystem" (in the blue bit of the error message box, since I'm still in Windows XP).
"System cannot open COM2 port requested by application"
I can click close or ignore. Ignore doesn't get me anywhere (game doesn't load up).

Erm....I don't know why the program wants to opne COM2 anyway. Any ideas as to what to do?

Try it under DosBox, or if you have Windows 98 installed too (second HD or like), try it there. Starting it under plain Windows XP is pointless.
