View Full Version : Best Abandonware Site I've Found

This is easily the best abandonware site I've come across so far. Even much better than Underdogs, on which most of the games I've tried to download have the hated "Buy It" link rather than an actual download. This site is much better not only for the downloads, but for the organization and attention to detail that each game gets by having a full review and more than one or two screenshots in most cases. On most other abandonware sites, each game is lucky to even have a screenshot with it, let alone a full review.

Anyway, just wanted to commend you all on a great site. I'll stick around for a while. :D

Yes my dear Makiel. I visited this site last year on Christmas! My friend Jesus Christ, who's also a member here, was celebrating his birthday and you were all so nice to open a Happy birthday thread to him I decided to become a member as well. I found many great games here so I gave many children around the world the best gift ever. I thought them how to respect the classics and showed the this site. Now you know why you've been recieving so many visitors lately.

Keep up the good work.

Oh, and if you see that blasted bunny somwhere tell him I won't cover for him this year. Let him do something for the comunity also!

Indeed, today another milestone is crushed

On average 99 percent of the daily visits are made before 23:58. Based on the number of visitors of 71848 today so far, today your site may have 71973 page views (+/- 0).

Welcome!

I'm new offical greeter of new members (what a sentence)!

There are a lot of ways to contribute site developing, these are some of them:
- you can review games that we send you - Check here! (http://www.abandonia.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1658)
- you can create your own screenshots of games that are already on site (and that need new screenshots) - Check here! (http://www.abandonia.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1963)
- you can help in translating abandonia to your mother tongue (if your mother tongue isn't English) - Check here! (http://www.abandonia.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1659)
- you can ask administrators about uploading some of your favourite games (of course with your review, too) - Check here! (http://www.abandonia.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=575)
- you can help people here on forum - no any special link, but just a friendly warn: Don't spam! (if you don't have to) :D

In the name of whole site I wish you plesant stay here at 'Abandonia - Home of abandonware games!' Enjoy! :ok:

Also, if you didn't already watched our "Posting And You..." ('http://www.abandonia.com/temp/Posting.html') movie you should better do! :sneaky:

The last time I checked that counter it was at about 14,000 so the site has increased in real size as well.

I am a die-hard collector of old games. Whenever a new site opens and I get to know about it then I spend some good time on it searching for something new to download.

Well, at Abandonia.com I didn't find anything new or something I don't have, but the only thing or feature that really touched my heart and I felt like helping this site with anything possible was the "RESPECT FOR OTHER LANGUAGES." And I'm certain that this great feature is not available on any other site.

So, respect this site as the site respects you.

Do you have any collector-items in your collection worth being on Abandonia?

We're always looking for quality dos games!

GraveDigger

I don't know Maikel about any particular item because to me all oldwares are collectible-items. :D

I have already posted a link to my list in this forum and don't feel easy to repeat the link so click here (http://www.abandonia.com/forum/index.php?act=ST&f=3&t=2582&hl=&view=findpost&p=50211) to read that reply. Let me know if you need anything and I'll send it over.
