I've have been looking for an oil game I played when I was younger. I looked at both of the oil barons on the internet and neither are them are it.
It was basically portrayed on a flat gray board. You could buy squares of stock and they would either go up or down and multiply the squares. You won at the end if you had the most money I think...
I know one of the pictures on a stock tile is a bank. I also know it might of been on a Jaycee Shareware disc.
Besides that, I'm clueless. Anyone have any ideas?

Nope, after much searching through my labyrinths of CD's, I managed to find the shareware CD. I have took a picture of it. And while it claims to expire in 45 days, I think it is broken or cracked as it has not expired in the past.

Many of those old things have simply a reminder, or even not that.
The 45 days period was simply a try before you buy thing.
Was common in those days, peeps would simply pay for the game when the 45 days were expired and they wished to play further.
How was that called...... ?????? Oh yeah, honnesty.
Usually the fees were really low.

There certainly are readme files enclosed, would you please attach them here? (Why am I interested in all those strange games?...)

Here we go. There was only one TXT file, so I converted the File_ID which was DIZ file to TXT. There is also a very large help file for the size of the actual game. The entire folder takes up 56 kilobytes, and the the help file is around 50. It's a window help file so I have no clue how to convert it.
It works fine in XP (I usually play on a 98' I have), but some of the graphics look weird, as the colors are different shades (aka say light blue instead of dark)
It's by a guy named Al Funk and anyone can phone the guy if they so wish (IT's in the registeration file.
