Hi everyone!

Maybe anyone can help me with this title. I've been looking for it on Abandonia and Home of The Underdogs a couple of times, but couldn't find it.

I played this game on a PC years ago. I'm pretty sure the colors where VGA or at least EGA. I think the historical background was World War I.
It was a strategy game (top-down view), where you managed a fleet of airplanes (fighters and bombers) and airports. When there was an encounter, you could jump directly into a dogfight and control a biplane in a 2D style (similar to Wings of Fury).

I also remember, that from the main menu you could start a dogfight with a selected AI opponent. The easiest one was called something like Lopez the Loopes ;)

So that's basically all I can remember. But if I see the screenshotsl, I will know this is the game I was looking for ;)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Check if it's one of the games on this list (http://www.mobygames.com/game-group/world-war-i-games/offset,0/so,1d/).
Perhaps this is it (http://www.mobygames.com/game/ancient-art-of-war-in-the-skies)?

Yes!!! That's the game :D (The Ancient Art of War in The Skies)
Thank you VERY much! I would never find it just looking at the screenshots (and that's what I tried to do before).

Oh, and the name of the guy is "Lou P. Deloupe" ;)
Thanks again!
