I have no idea what the games name is(been at least 10 years since I played it as a child), but I remember you had to select/buy a ship, and the game had something to do with taking people to planets(like taking them on a tour) you could buy things for your ship, more passenger space, seating, random upgrades, I think the source of income was taking people places, but alas it's been so long my memory is faint. If I remember correctly, one of the ships you could get at the start of the game, had a color scheme like that of a wasp(all the ships were weird and alien looking), it was a fairly underground game, and if needed I could post more information about it.

i think it can be gazzilionaire deluxe (http://www.mobygames.com/game/gazillionaire-deluxe) (or maybe just gazzilionaire (http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/gazillionaire), but i have played only deluxe version and description fits)

Yeah, I thought of Gazillionaire too. I'm not sure I remember anything about passengers though, it was an intergalactic business sim.
