I remember playing this on the C64, anyone remember that machine? Took like four disks to play it...Or was it two disks, front and back? I forget...

DUCK TALES! A woo-oo!

Is this similar to/the same as the one on NES? Because I loved that game.

Ah, what the hell, I'll download it anyway. Even if it is the same game, this one has better graphics. A woo-oo!
Yeah it's a great game. I think there existed "Ducktales: The Quest for Gold" (The orignal title of this game) for the NES too, but i have only played the game where you played as Scrooge and started in the Jungle[/b][/quote]
Nope, they are different games. The Nes version is just a platform (a very playable one, the first game EVER I've finished as a child... ): you play just as Scrooge; his nephews are there just to provide hints during level, and your opponent is Magica de Spell, not Flintheart.
Basically, the main computer screen is just a stage select: after you've beaten Amazon Forest, Transylvania, African Mines, the Himalayas and a Moon Base (where Gizmo Duck helps you by blasting a wall!) in any order, you get access to the final stage (a HUGE letdown, won't spoil it but it's not a real new stage...), beat the surprise end boss and after a little effort you beat the game.
Good platform, easy to play and to master but still requiring a bit of effort and full of secret areas and treasures.

I remember this game being very different, but never got to play it for a long time: thanks for the upload, I'll surely try it someday.

From Italy,

Please see http://www.abandonia.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=5252 for the reason why this game is unfortunately no longer available for download.
