I have a question to you that might sound a little wierd but I need to know.
Do mobile phones numbers in the UK start with 014 or perhaps just 01? If not could it be a London area code? Thanks in advance.

All mobiles in the UK begin with 07. Unless of course you're dialling from outside the country, in which case you change the zero for the international dialling code (+44).
All numbers begining with 01 are normal landlines.

What he said.
All London phone numbers start with 020 though If the number is like 01483.. that's an area code for somewhere in surrey (I think) just outside London
