is that thing near the eating room(also in one of the screen shots) a shovel? Cause i dont know how to pick it up, also what does red cross package mean?? This game is pretty confusing..

Yes, good point - I played the game on a C64 and cannot remember how to pick things up. I have tried using the space-bar and every other key I can think of. How "do" you pick up things?

regards

I have found out how to pick up - Shift and Up arrow. Shift and Down arrow to put down.

Cheers

OMG!

I used to have this game on my Spectrum when I was about 10 or 11 - what an amazing game this was!

I remember it lost "Crash's" game of the year award to Starfighter
This clearly should've won! In my humble opinion of course! Ha ha!!

Anyway, I haven't downloaded this version yet, but I do remember a "hidden" key that helps a lot...

Go to the South-East of the main prison yard, along from where you enter the exercise yard, and you come to a guard post.

Under one of the legs of this guard post is a key... look hard, it's there!
Grab this one, I remember it opens a few doors that are only otherwise openable with the wirecutters and saves a lot of time/frustration!

Off to download it now...

...and clearly I meant the key opens doors that are otherwise only unlockable with the LOCKPICK not the wire cutters!

And I wasn't even drunk when I originally posted either

Sorry mate, I can't get this version to work at the moment and without playing it again, i've got no chance of remembering! (Years of alcohol abuse will do that to you!)

There was definately a Lockpick in the Spectrum version (I'm assuming all versions were the same?) because I remember picking locks as once you started you couldn't stop, and it took about 15 seconds real time to do.

Ie, more than enough time to be discovered by a guard and chucked in solitary... again!

If I get it working I will post here again with the location, unless somebody else knows already?

Ok, boredom struck and I got the DosBox working properly.

LOCKPICK LOCATION :

- Pick up the green key under the most south-easterly guard tower of the main yard (it's "hidden" beneath the legs)

- Go directly North-East from here (the main yard fence should be to your right)

- At the door, use the Green Key you just picked up

- You will enter a room with 2 doors on the left

- Take the 2nd Door on the Left

- The Lockpick is in this room

Hope this helps fella!

Hand the man a coco-nut ---- the lock picks are exactly there - well I never did....
I used to get into the room nextdoor via the tunnel between the barbed-wire fences (wearing the German uniform)
Thanks a ton
