Default Start-Up 2000

Good afternoon, i have a doubt about a certain game: Start-up 2000 from Montecristo www.montecristo-multi.com. I know this game is still sold.. But for what i could see montecristo (the publisher) is not a part of ESA and probably (for i could find on their site, a strange non-software website..) it doesnīt even exist anymore, or got bought by another company. well the doubt is, if they are not part of the ESA, and donīt even exist, do they still have unlimited protection over this product?? who are the owners of the copyright of the game now? i am somehow confused about this issue.. obviously if the game is still sold that can mean only one thing, its not abandoned... but to be true i couldnīt find a official website of the game.. cdaccess is selling the game http://www.cdaccess.com/html/quick/startuppr.htm, but i still donīt understand why the game is still protected.. is this a off-limits kind of game?

sorry if this is not the right place to talk about this, and sorry about the english also
Thank you

As long as CD access is selling this game, we cannot put it up on the site. With 388 copies still left in stock, this mean it aint happening anywhere soon, most likely not in another half decade at least.

HOTU still lists Monte Christo Multimedia as alive, but the domain seems to have been reclaimed.

yeah thats why i was confused... Montecristo seems to be vanished but still active. and cdaccess will keep selling those copies untill the next century? do they have some kind of rule like "abandoned this product for lack of selling" kind of thing?.. so that they would take it of the market? that would be great most people i know donīt even know that this game exists..

thanks, for the help k:

Or until they close down from business.

Not that I know of. You see, they bought these copies before and have them in stock... effectively, they have to sell them to return their investment.
