EDIT- Found the install.bat mentioned before, completely forgot it is the DOS install and that it's in the cd. Game seems to be running properly through dosbox, only thing now is to get this disc read properly. Would copying the files from the cd into a folder and mounting that folder work?

Managed to get the game running by using the 1st cd rom drive that was having trouble reading the disk. The problem now is that the cursor graphic seems to get stuck on screen and certain Selections in the game are staying highlighted. Any ideas on how to fix it or a general-guaranteed-install-n-play-with-no-problems-on-WinXP method?

I don't think mounting will fix the Dosbox issue i'm having though:
DoxBox gets: "Not enough memory to load GOB or file not found." But anyway...

I did: c:\mount c c:\dos\cdrive\sierra\conquer since i installed the game there.

Am I supposed to burn an iso image into a folder and mount the ISO folder in my DOS directory? Am I supposed to mount with DosBox at all?

There's no install.bat but there is config.bat which sets up the audio and video resolution.

First things first. Do not mount the pre-existing directory as your C drive.
Mount an empty directory. Then use IMGMOUNT to mount the ISO as your D drive. Then install the game.

If you think it will help, then yes - make an ISO of the game disc and use IMGMOUNT to mount the ISO with DOSBox.

Alright, you're referring to the dosbox config? I use IMGMOUNT in Dosbox correct?

Any suggestions on free burning software? xD Asking in case you might have one that you use that doesn't come with adware or the like. (like an uninstallable search toolbar)

Also hope you guys get this game up for download sometime in the near future, I remember seeing a post saying that the game is no longer ESA protected and that the request to have this game up was granted.

Burning software =/= imaging software.

EDIT- Found the ISO in the cellar! What is the step-by-step process to use it? ie. "All I have is the ISO, what to do from there?"

Any free virtual cd-rom apps you got as well? I wanna make sure that I can get and use the data from the disk and burn it onto another cd since my Conquerer AD cd is kinda scratched. I bought the game off ebay and it came scratched so if I cant recover the data I'll have to ask for a return.

I should just buy Nero shouldn't I?

Btw, Is this game no longer ESA protected? Because if I can help you guys get this game up for everyone to download, I'd be happy to.

VirtualCloneDrive is freeware. Supports ISO, CCD and BIN/CUE.
