I'm trying to play The Horde under Windows Xp SP 2, using DosBox (since it's the only way... or so I think). Sometimes when I execute the game it just doesn't run. But when it does run, I have some audio problems. Scenes like the menu are fast and function properly, but in the game and in the intro it's just too slow... too slow to play, the audio also seems to freeze every.... 400 ms or something like that. So, video and audio freeze for very little periods of time, but continuosly. More or less 3000-4000 Cpu Cycles worked good for me... but still unplayable. Any suggestions?
I have a Duron 1.2 Ghz, 256 Ram Mb...... Help? |

uhm 2 suggenstions.
overclock dosbox a lot. or wait for the next dosbox version. There is a timing issue with the horde which is solved in either 2 cases. |
