Then there was one about alien invasion (which was supposed to happen in "waves"), which was like an x-files themed series, that it started (the theme, not the actual series) from the late 40s and showed how what we know about events over the last 60 years were caused by far different reasons. How these aliens would send worm like things to infiltrate humans and, oh man such a cool series.

Sounds more like Quantum Leap to me. In Sliders they travel between dimensions, not in time, and they are doing it with a TV remote

But if I remember correctly they didn't used anything to travel in Quantum Leap, or I might be wrong....

Sliders is a mid 90s production, the one I was talking about was a early to mid 80s.


About the alien invasion, First Wave is a great fun series, but the one I was talking about showed the life of a couple from the 60s till now, how the man used to work for the government, then by accident found more, got hired by a secret part of the government (several things about the Blue Book), where he found more about the aliens, then had to run away and....
