While you have to use Fraps then Windows Media Maker, I use Camstudio only, it records my voice while I am recording the actually game. Then it is ready for Youtube, or to be compressed. As I said you will find most Youtube Lets Players use Camstudio.

the only problem I have with relying on Camstudio is that I can never play a game for just 15 minute segments, which is why I use WMM to compile the video into 15 minute(or less) segments.

btw, Thomme, how do you save it, from the "File>Save As" menu, or the "Save to my CPU" on the left?

NOTE: This might be important for the sake of quality.

OK, so I used Cam Studio to record 10 minute portions of Blade Runner, but the sound kept getting desynced. So I used Virtual Dub to resync it, but the files come out to be 20+gigs for 10 minutes of video, because Virtual Dub saves in "raw" AVI. But when I try to save it as anything else (Like CamStudio lossless, Microsoft R1 or V70) it ends up a garbled mess of weird noise, inverted colors and badness. Any advice for resyncing a video without making it too big?

You can choose compression under Video -> Compression in Virtual Dub

It should make the files lighter

The videos go anywhere from 8-15 minutes depending on chapter breaks and the likes. I'm just more concerned with syncing and size right now.
