One of the best games ever. Great story, graphics, voice acting, and atmosphere. Only major negative for me is I hate the combat in this game. It's cheesy, cheap, and heavily favors magic users. I preferred combat in the previous games. Now that I think about it, I hate the music that goes along with the combat too.

I still think the first game is the best overall game, but this has the best story.

Great to see QFG 4 on site.

This, and Part 1, are my favourites in the series.

Excellent review.

That's awesome. If someone could get a remake looking like that, I'd be very interested. I've always been frustrated when remakes just emulate the old VGA games, even their limited palettes and resolutions.

I checked out his site. I like his paintings and general style a lot.

Nice review, Panthro! I remember that I had offered to review this a long while back, but then school caught up with me, paddled me senseless and I promptly forgot. Glad to know someone else picked up after my lazy-ass promise!

For those of you interested in playing a thief, you can use acrobatics attacks in combat by holding the down arrow and then attacking, if I'm remembering correctly. I remember I had played through the game so many times and then a few years ago figured this out by accident. It made the battle system SO much more fun as a thief, because I remembered trying to figure it out (since the auto combat would do it) and not being able to.

Cheers!

That picture is awesome, really awesome. I really liked this game it has a great atmosphere very much like the first game. The only problem with it was that Sierra did not put enough time into bug fixing this game. Otherwise a classic that all RPG fans should play at least once.

Default Talky Version

Awesome game and I'm stoked that it has finally been added!

Am trying to remember how I got the talky version working...does anyone know how many cycles it should have?
