Still on 1.5 and there've been a couple of updates for this one too, I think it's 1.5.7, I won't mind the autupdating to v2.0 if all the plugins will work.

I would mind, cause the minimum system req. FF2 wants is 128 Mb RAM, and thats all I have (for now).

Why would someone even need a browser which take more memory than a normal process is way beyond me anyways... Why would you need 128 megs ram to run a notepad program?

If you're concerned about RAM you could change to Opera, you won't regret it. That was the reason I changed at the time with my old 64 MB machine, but now I find Opera way better in all aspects.

Tell me about it. I`ll give it a try with opera - I thought it was not free though - but I could be wrong...
It`s free right?

Yes Opera is completely free. Also it's never a bad idea to read the EULA if you want.

I've been on FF2 for a long while, and it's not given me problems. About the only problem is Adobe Acrobat reader hogging up resources when opening a .pdf in the browser, and I know it's just as slow and hoggy in IE.

IE didn't even work for months after IE7 came out as an update, and windows, for some reason, claims there's an IE error when trying to "Restore Active Desktop" after a problem.

FF does just fine for me, feels nicer, and all my plugins from 1.5 work.

I've never switched to 2.0. I'm still using 1.5, as I heard 2.0 is way too buggy. Been a while since it got out tough...

same here
